Eastern Railroad Discussion > E60's on Northeast Corridor ?Date: 09/03/02 09:22 E60's on Northeast Corridor ? Author: WhiskeySCharlie Are any E60 locomotives still operating on the Northeast Corridor? If so, what trains do they normally operate on?
What times and locations would offer the best chances to see them in action? Thanks, WSC in Fort Worth, TX - but planning a trip to the northeast Date: 09/03/02 09:53 Re: E60's on Northeast Corridor ? Author: gcw Last I heard they were still being used on the "Clocker" trains.

-Eric Shock Date: 09/03/02 14:27 Re: E60's on Northeast Corridor ? Author: toledopatch The E60s normally operate only between New York and Philadelphia. South (or west, for the Three Rivers) of Philly, these trains are hauled by diesels.
Date: 09/04/02 06:35 Re: E60's on Northeast Corridor ? Author: RDG484 You are guaranteed to see an E-60 on Trains Nos. 89-90 (The Palmetto), Nos. 40-41 (The Three Rivers), and Nos. 91-92 (The Silver Star). All of which are direct-release braked trains; for RoadRailers. Amtrak's AEM-7's and HHP-8's are not equipped for direct-release, although they are supposed to be installing new software on the HHP-8's for direct-release trains. Remanufactured AEM-7's and HHP-8's are making more frequent appearances on the Clockers so looking for an E-60 on those trains is getting more and more rare.
