I came across Genessee & Wyoming SW-? 1000 and 1001 working the American Salt Mine near Mt. Morris, NY, this past spring. What EMD model are these units?

A note for your image-labeling efforts: there's only one S in Genesee.

off the top of my head 1000 & 1001 ring a bell for G&W. The pair weren't prior CR heritage were they?

Yeah, they were ex-Conrail... 9405 and 9417 I think.
