Know everyone is entitled to a THREAD, but for these two CT's lets try to keep it together for all to follow a little easier. All for now. bcd9 ∑:=) Date: 03/20/17 09:01 Re: Red Unit Friday Author: P Red Unit and Blue unit should be separate threads as they are 600 miles apart.
In any case, the Red Unit just cruised through West Chester, OH at 11:58am. The rain must have kept all the fans at bay this morning as I had not seen a single update since they put the train together. This precluded me from taking a crack at a photo up in Monroe. Farewell Ringling Brothers. Date: 03/20/17 09:46 Re: Red Unit Friday Author: Jimbo They will be on the same NS line from Lynchburg to Burkeville. Ringling Brothers insiders suggest one thread. See this from the reference thread:

A large number of people hope to see both trains almost follow each other, if not one right behind the other, between that town and BURKEVILLE, VA - where Blue show's train diverges onto the Richmond district line, and Red show continues due east toward Norfolk. Date: 03/20/17 14:35 Re: Red Unit Friday Author: sptno Sure wish one of them would go through Quantico as our son lives about 1/4 mile or less from the tracks. Knowing our luck, neither will go through the area.
He got out of the Navy last May and is working at the Naval Medical Clinic. Thanks Pat South Austin, TX Date: 03/20/17 19:02 Re: Red Unit Friday Author: rbx551985 sptno Wrote:

(That presumes the route is north from Richmond on the RF&P Sub. to interchange to NS either in Alexandria (to reverse direction and go to Manassas, then the B-Line and north from Riverton Jct., or some other interchange location north of D.C.; a friend suggested the Lurgin connection west from 'D.C. on the old B&O, which isn't a bad notion if that connection still exists. We'll know more about THAT run in another week and a half. "Stay tuned...." Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/20/17 19:03 by rbx551985. |
