The Transition Has Taken Place She's Finally Out On The Road
Author: Out_Of_Service

after GPS installation and some confusion on the locomotives Dynmaic Brake interlock system, the planned permanent replacement of the CSX 8817 SD-40-2 by the 1707 has taken place and here it is leading CR south jersey local WPCA-11 ... it was cloudy early but the sun snuck out for a peek ... the 1707 was planned for Monday but it failed the DB interlock test ... unbeknownst to the engineer apparently CSX didn't feel the need to equip the unit with the DB interlock system which every other locomotive is equipped with ... the DB interlock works in conjunction with the air and the independent but for some reason the 1707 DBI system is not setup that way so taking the safest course it failed the DBI test and was left at the house on Monday and Tues ... after all the confusion was cleared up it went out on it's maiden voyage this morning ...
