Restored Pennsylvania RR SW-1 #9206
Author: PennRailVideos

The star at Black River & Western on April 14th, 2017 was the beautifully restored Pennsylvania Railroad EMD SW-1 #9206. Top-notch restorations, especially the footboards, brass bell, and Brunswick green paint!

1. The obligitory roster shot.
2. South past Hunderton Concrete.
3. Pulling into Ringoes.

7. A different angle at Copper Hill, featuring the PRR whistle post.
8. And finally, the last shot of the day near Toad Lane.
9. A shot from my cell phone that I wish I got with the regular camera, but turned out pretty neat. Pennsy engine, passing a Pennsy caboose, on a Pennsy branch! Doesn't get much more Pennsy than this!

The private owner of the PRR 9206 how outdone himself with this restoration, especially with the attention to detail. I usually only go to see 60, but this is a great substitute.

Very nice. Looks good with the green coaches. Will look good on a photo freight. Nice work shooting.

Photo two by the concrete plant is my favorite.
Thanks for posting these.

Nice to see one back in original paint. NH&I had privately owned #9423 in PRR paint from 1988 until the mid 90's, when they decided to paint it blue to theoretically cash in on the Thomas craze.

Always liked the way 9423 looked with NH&I's Reading Coaches (correctly repainted shortly after 9423 was), so I agree with the comment on the sharpness of it with the Green Coaches. Also love that shot at the old plant.

Nice touch with the foot boards too!

Good job with the photos. I would've liked to have seen the engine myself, but had work and prior plans. I agree that is looks really good. Hopefully, it will come out another time this year.
