Eastern Railroad Discussion > NS CPL signals between Lynchburg and Petersburg VADate: 04/26/17 16:28 NS CPL signals between Lynchburg and Petersburg VA Author: 611Doug Does anyone know what locations, if any, still have CPL signals between Lynchburg and Petersburg?
I know most if not all are gone between Roanoke and Lynchburg. Thanks, Doug Date: 04/26/17 19:07 Re: NS CPL signals between Lynchburg and Petersburg VA Author: jaybest You might try Pamplin, VA. Just after the old mainline through Farmville was abandoned a few years ago, the westbound CPL signal that guarded the switch from the old mainline pass track onto the belt line ( now the only mainline) was still standing, but without the color lights.

I drove the line a few weeks back on the way home. There were a few still in place, but replacement masts were already up in all but maybe one location, making it impossible to get a clean shot. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Fb5VajUtUh1fMRFAcD5fLAtpwig&usp=sharing https://goo.gl/photos/bzK3RKLrShgsjYDM7 |
