DCR 1564, an MP15AC (ex-UPY 1487, nee-SP 2759) is the sixth MP15AC for Delmarva Central Railroad Company. The other MP15AC units are DCR 1555 (ex-UPY 1441, nee-SP 2712), DCR 1560 (ex-UPY 1455, nee-SP 2727), DCR 1561 (ex-UPY 1465, nee SP 2737), DCR 1562 (ex-UPY 1468, nee-SP 2740), and DCR 1563 (ex-UP 1481, nee SP 2753) In UP parlance these units are MP15N account equipped with ZTR's Nexus adhesion, self start, and remote diagnostic package). All units were from the same 1975 Southern Pacific purchase order to EMD. DCR has assigned two MP15N to each of three local origins: DO-1 out of Dover, DE; SE-1 out of Seaford DE; and DE-1 and DE-2 out of Delmar, DE. DCR's parent Carload Express, Inc. purchased a total of 16 MP15AC out of this original purchase order by SP.
