Three Oldies at Durand on Friday
Author: jkh2cpu

That GTW loco was new to GTW in August, 1954.

We get lots of new, and lots of older equipment
thru Durand on a daily basis. Sadly these days
we are not seeing so much foreign power, so our
excitement comes from both the rumbling of the
trains and the possibility of something on the
older side.

John.

You are spot on with the 1954 date. Its a GP9 rebuild.

Yes. Originally GTW 1759 built August 1954. GTW undertook a big rebuild project on the GP9 fleet in the early 90s, including the new cabs found on these units.
