I have some friends who will be in W Virginia in Sept & Oct and they are looking for any Private Cars they can ride while back there.

Like me, they also live In Southern Calif

Any thoughts ?

Collis P. Huntington RRHS operates their New River Train the 3rd and 4th weekend in October from Huntington to Hinton, usually contains around 20 private varnish of coach, business, and dome varieties, plus around 8-10 Amfleets for standard Coach class. Well worth the money if you're a sightseer. I've had the privilege of being a car host and it's quite an experience.

Anyone interested in riding this year's New River Train should not wait much longer to make plans. It appears that the October 21 trip is completely sold out and some classes of accommodations are sold out for other dates.

I rode the New River Train in 2014 and highly recommend it to anyone seeking an enjoyable day excursion through one of the East's most scenic areas.
