I don't know much about passenger cars, but based on the window alignment, it looks like all five cars in this train are the exact same type/design. Also, I haven't heard which numbers yet, but four or five of those GP38's are headed to the W&LE. Matt Date: 09/15/17 16:18 Re: NS GP38-2 funeral train from Roanoke to Linwood Author: WLE2679 Those will fit in with the HH GP35's that are on roster. Are the passenger cars going to NCTM?

Date: 09/15/17 17:00 Re: NS GP38-2 funeral train from Roanoke to Linwood Author: dan These five cars were built for the Chesapeake & Ohio in 1950 or so, then were rebuilt for Pittsburgh's PATrain commuter service in the 1970s/1980s, then went to Connecticut DOT for its passenger services.
Holland America/Princess Tours,(2) Adirondack Scenic,(2) and NCTM (1) were the winning bidders. Winning bids ranged from $160,000 to $275,00 ---above info from rypn Date: 09/15/17 20:12 Re: NS GP38-2 funeral train from Roanoke to Linwood Author: thecrewsr Nice shots, please keep an eye on the passenger cars, two of them NS 46 & 47 are going to the west coast.
