Eastern Railroad Discussion > Why were some of the last Dash 9s on NS delivered in primer?Date: 09/16/17 12:31 Why were some of the last Dash 9s on NS delivered in primer? Author: railfaneric Good afternoon everyone. I am wondering why the last set of Dash 9s on NS came without being painted? Did GE forget or did they not have time?

With BNSF, I remember seeing new GEs that were fully painted but placed in service with only basic lettering and no heralds when I railfanned around Wenatchee, WA in August 1998. |
