Alcos North! A Light Engine Move on the MA&N
Author: ut-1

Mohawk, Adirondack & Northern ran a light engine move on its Utica-Lyons Falls, NY branch yesterday to pick-up 60 tank cars which have been stored on the line for several months. The railroad stored a few thousand tankers on the line north of Boonville to Lyons Falls (10 miles of the 45-mile branch) earlier this year but has been bringing them back over the past month. Several hundred still remain stored on the main.

This short video shows Alcos 2042 (M420W), 805 (C425) and 2456 (C425) hustling past Dean Rd, Boonville, NY at milepost U 30.5.

Amazing how those original K5H horns have held up all these years and stayed in tune.

Nice video.
