Dispatcher was joking with crew, asked if they pulled the engine from the junk yard. Crew called the engine a "hot box".

A train length (less than a mile) of 55 cars is not uncommon for auto racks
here in Southern Ontario. And one locomotive hauling same is normal although not a
former black painted Illinois Central locomotive, it did at least have some form of
air conditioning
