2 Days Worth Of Variety In Chicagoland
Author: Ohiorailfan

This weekends adventure in the Chicago area. Went up for the UP 2001 and 2002 paired and of course when I go up they are split, but we still had a great time and found some great catches. Lots of standard cab leaders from 8 railroads. Enjoy!!

Saturday starts off with a ATSF duo at Hodgkins yard. A rare GP40X, GP38-2 and a BNSF GP39RM rest in the yard

Both Olympic Torch engines are seen at Proviso. The 2001 was bad ordered for a bad alerter

What a well spent two days! I thought I'd never say, but the billboard in #2 needs a BNSF train underneath. And what a catch with two Grand Trunk units!

Nice photos! Did you get a shot of the CNW caboose and the F or E unit behind the UP GP15s?
