We are transported back to the 1990's today on CN as CN 102 local from Flat Rock, Michigan to Oakwood and back sported IC SD40-2 #6203 leading GTW SD40-2 #5936

Train is seen at Allen Park, Taylor, and Flat Rock. Last shot is from cell phone as my camera battery died

That GTW 5936 is the last Burdakin Blue GTW SD40 on the GTW/CN.

The Railfans here in Michigan have been keeping tabs on this one. Begging that it doesn't get repainted to CN colors. It will someday, and I think most of the Midwest will be able to hear them all crying on that day!!!

those 86's are mtys, bringing empty racks back to the Ford Woodhaven Stamping Plant - most likely from the Ford F150 Assembly Plants in Kansas City and Norfolk. it was huge volume then, but this traffic has changed - as Norfolk Assembly closed, and Dearborn Stamping now stamps most of the metal for the F150.
