Eastern Railroad Discussion > 75˚ In Birmingham AlabamaDate: 02/20/18 19:22 75˚ In Birmingham Alabama Author: RiverLineProductions Had some beautiful weather yesterday while down in Birmingham, and even though the gems of the day came after darkness, there were still some nice daylight catches! Definitely recommend B'ham as a great place to railfan... Caught 10 Railroads and 37 trains in about 14 hours the previous day...
1. CSX Q102-18 Heads NB crossing over the Southern at 13th Street with a massive train and GEs pulling 2. A NB NS Manifest with BNSF and NS trailing an RS3L equipped Dash 8 made for a nice catch 3. NS 141 waits for his signal at 27th Street with a clean KCS SD70ACe leader Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/20/18 19:24 by RiverLineProductions. 5. An Outbound NS Manifest with CN power rolls under 22nd street 6. These pics just ran it up the list. Thanks for posting.
Will you be posting any other photos from your trip to the area? Will be looking for them. Thanks again. the south track occupied by the rail train and two tracks to the north. Last time I was in B'ham (many years ago) I remember only the two SOU and two L&N main tracks between these limits - when was a track added? Thanks!
