An earlier thread on TO made me aware that the James E. Strates Circus Train would be making its way up CSX's Trenton Line on Tuesday. Decided that the former Reading Station in Belle mead would make a good location to wait this train's passage. CSX 5232 was the sole power as it headed east past TL MP 50. It will be opening at the Brookhaven Fair (May 25 - June 17) in Farmingville, NY. When it closes up there it will open at the NJ State Fair Meadowlands (June 21 - July 8) in East Rutherford (NJ).

but it was even more fun when they had the coaches and a caboose!

Interesting: the last 3, SILVER empty flats up front (right behind the new, empty blue flats) were former Ringling "RBBX" flats....

last time I went buy there home in taft fl . all the passenger cars were still there don,t know if thay still are.

That is a great video, of a now sadly rare type of train. SO glad the States Circus still moves by rail. :) Thanks, Rhett ("rbx551985") for the info about the RBBX flats. It is wonderful that they, at least. are still used by a circus.

And I, too, congratulate you on a well-deserved Video Of The Day.

A correction: There are NO circus trains in the US anymore.

The James E. Strates train is not a circus train, as James E Strates shows are NOT circuses but CARNIVALS.

This is a carnival train.
