After spending time at Horseshoe Curve Saturday afternoon, I headed to Altoona for some late afternoon action. Also started off in Altoona on Sunday morning, especially during a heavy rainfall. Here are some photos.
1. A long eastbound mixed freight with 7310 leading a Dash 9, not sure what train this was. 2. A string of CP and Govt. of Canada grain cars 3. 4. NS 20W with a Tier 4 GEVO leading two BNSF engines 5. Westbound Pennsylvanian, Amtrak train 43, NS train 07T 6. 19G passing an eastbound helper move. 13. 26T with a pair of SD70ACe engines as the rain picks up again 14. Altoona Yard local CB90 heading for the Cove Secondary 14. The CB90 stopped for a signal as eastbound 64T approaches Got three videos to follow.. C - The CB90 slowly approaching the signal for the secondary And one last image from Sunday morning as the CB90 is stopped at right, 64T heads east in the middle and a helper set heads west.
