Revenue Cars over the Shortline - 08/13/20 Author: Skuat Great stuff Tim! Knew this was going down but there was no way I was going to be able to get off to swing down there for it. Nice to see that you got some sun for the occasion as well. Hopefully this isn't the last of the revenue moves either.

I have to wonder, however, why the logs were unloaded and delivered by truck rather than just delivering the loaded cars directly to the mill? Date: 08/13/18 22:41 Re: Georges Creek 1st. Revenue Cars over the Shortline - 08/13/20 Author: krm152 Great catch of first operations.

The track that was once used to unload railcars of pulpwood onto the conveyor to the chipper house at the woodyard was removed several years ago by CSX. There is no space at Beryl that they could set the trucks up and unload the wood without blocking either the main or other yard tracks. Tim W. Date: 08/14/18 00:51 Re: Georges Creek 1st. If they (Verso) have to do this for long, I'll bet they wish they still had the tracks and cranes that were removed! The wood on those cars will not last long at that mill if they are producing 1250 Tons of paper per day! There is something to be said for redundancy!

Along comes a shortline and suddenly business happens again. You gotta wonder if the tracks will go back in...? And where did 2 beautiful WM units suddenly come from?? Love the paint scheme of that old line--had no idea these units even existed! Date: 08/14/18 10:00 Re: Georges Creek 1st. Revenue Cars over the Shortline - 08/13/20 Author: DTWilson >
