The Birds
Author: srman

Morning fog begins to break and the sun illuminates the scene as CSX Q206 rolls north across the Ohio River into Indiana while vultures like a scene from the Hitchcock film scatter, interupted by the trains passing. Image taken Sunday 8/12 at Ashland Park in Clarksville Indiana.

Good thing they are not creating ominous symbolism by circling around an Amtrak consist :-0  Very cool photo and shutter timing!

Those vultures must have heard you were "dieing" to get this great photo there.

P.S. Sorry about that, but I couldn't resist. The vulture in front of the third autorack looks like a very strange tagging instead of a real bird.

I'd love to see that bridge in person someday--it's such an impressive span and piece of engineering work.  Massive.  You don't see bridges like this one built anymore.  Think how long it took to set each one of those granite blocks on each bridge pier, let along build the main trusses.  Just amazing!
