WATCO is looking to take over service beginning in September sometime.

Besides the routes already mentioned, CSX also has the C&EI from Woodland Junction south. They also own 50% of the line north of Woodland. They have the New Rock subdivision, which is as busy as ever. Of course there is also the entire B&OCT throughout Chicago. But yea, they are pulling out of Illinois.

The article's emphasis is on WATCO starting up operations on what are now CSX lines. |
