New Orleans Public Belt Railroad

My wife and I had taken a weekend trip to New Orleans in May 2017.  We were having breakfast at Cafe Du Monde and I heard a train horn.  I ran over to the crossing an caught New Orleans Public Belt switching along the Mississippi Riverfront.  It was the first time I had ever seen the railroad and their power.  Here's a few photos from that day.

My wife and I were at a Cafe du Monde back in May 2002, and caught a military move loaded up with tanks pulled by a few GE BNSF units on that line. It was an unexpected surprise!
The beniets (sp?) and chicory coffee were great too!
