I wonder what this will mean for the Tennessee Central Railroad Museum's excursion operations and the future plans of operating #576, two groups that I just recently joined.

It shouldn't affect the TCRM and the 576 negatively. The past owner made sure that the TCRM and the 576 can operate after the sale. The only change I've heard is that the TCRM can't use the freight locomotives anymore.

As a member of both organizations, any verification to the above statements are most appreciated.

The rails over which the Tennessee Central and the N&ERR operate over are owned by the Nashville and Eastern Railroad Authority, which was created by the state of Tennessee. If anyone has a final say on who operates on the railroad, it would likely be them.

All museum, commuter and future steam related operations will benefit favorably and are included as part of the deal.
