Eastern Railroad Discussion > High & Wide Transfer on the Gainesville MidlandDate: 02/09/19 12:37 High & Wide Transfer on the Gainesville Midland Author: NSTopHat While out today waiting on NS's 203 train hich has NS #1800 trailing, see thread below, I rolled over to the Gainesville Midland to see what, if anything I could see, as I was really more in search of a PS 4750 3 Bay covered hopper that I had seen over at Ampro Products in eastern Gainesville earlier this week, but didn't have my camera at the time. As I was trundling eastward, I ran across an interesting movement on CSX.
Image #1 - CSX #577 (AC4400CW) idles behind KIK Insdustries in Gainesville, GA Image #2 - A loaded KRL #340321 is prepped for unloading by Mammoet. KRL #340321 shows as an AAR Car Code - F431, with an overall length of 102'-11', Lt Wt of 270,200 lbs, a Ld Limit of 674,800 lbs for a max rail weight of 945,000 lbs.The load itself had a UN3363, Class 9, "Dangerous Goods in Apparatus", sticker which according to a little searching on Google appears to be Acetonitrile. Image #3 - A 15 Axle - 60 wheel set trailer waits to be loaded. Russ |
