Wednesday my main objective was to get shots of I&M #30 that has been working on the Atlantic Western in Sanford, NC for a couple years. The ATW runs 5 days a week and has an Ex MB GP10, SCRF GP7u and I&M RS1325. The day was slow as they didn't start work till around 11, but I was able to get variou shots of it working around Sanford and at the CSX Interchange, #30 is one of 2 RS1325's ever built in 1960. After Sanford I started to head to South Carolina and passed through Aberdeen where I was surpirsed by a ACWR train working in town with 2 SD40-2's. Enjoy!

RS-1325's still going at age 59! Have always been intrigued by these locomotives and got to see one once in Springfield on the C&IM.
At last report, #31 s still there on the I&M.

Kind of surprising that No. 30 still has its one-piece windshield. I like the shot of No. 109 spotted on the "ash pit" too!
