F unit on CSX
Author: roadrunner

I need some help with any information about this EMD F unit. She was shot on Monday on a east bound CSX freight in Cleveland Ohio by a casual railfan friend. Her markings are HZRX 725 and her heritage was Erie Lackawanna by the paint. Any idea were it's coming from or going, any help would be grateful.

Did you try Google? If you had, you'd have gotten this:

I remember this unit.   It was painted at a facility at Kent, Ohio along the old Erie close to downtown a long time ago.   The only two new units I ever saw from there looking "fresh" was this unit and a F40PH painted green.   Other engines have been sitting outside for years there.

But he didn't - and look at what he (we) got instead!
Nice catch - thanks for sharing.

Former B&LE 725. Not a real EL locomotive.
