3/21/19 CN Train 765 on the Flint Sub in Michigan

3/21/19 19:00 39 degrees at CN Charlotte, MI  as CN 2030 & CN 2581 clear the ChS junction switch and pass the old GTW depot heading Train 765  at speed. This is a combined general freight and empty coal drag. A 2-4-1😁

I imagine you heard about the bridge failure just east of Battle Creek Tuesday morning?

What is the deal with the bridge failure? My cousin sent me a photo but no details other than it was east of Battle Creek.

Bridge over BC River failed Tuesday. One main closed other is open with 10mph speed restriction. Railroad from Bellevue to BC yard is basically single track now creating operational problems. Apparently one pier has been undercut causing it to settle two feet below grade. Determinations are being made now on repairs or replacement from what I understand.
RR is also inspecting other structures  in area for similar problems.
