Two heritage engines and other stuff from today at m.p. 109
Author: mp109

Some of the interesting things from today's train watching session near mile post 109 on the NS Pittsburgh line.  (Also see my post on the passenger board
of an interesting coincidence of the passenger trains today.)
1. NS 19G was led today by an ET44AC no. 3677.
2. Third engine on the 19G was the D.L. & W. heritage unit.
3. Train 21A is led by the same SD70ACU I posted pictures of in the recent past.

4. The PRR heritage unit was the second engine on the head end of 21T. Heard on the radio that apparently it has some kind of problem
and can be used only as a B unit for now.
5. Train 22W's second unit is a new AC44C6M with a famous number.
6. Train 16N is led by an SD70ACU, no. 7241.

Actually the correct designation is Lucknow Road. It dead ends at the tracks. It is off 6th Street south of Linglestown Road (rt. 39). It's really about 108.9 on
the Pittsburgh line. A mile east of where Rockville tower used to be. In picture 5 the bridge over the tracks in the far distance is I81 and mile post 108 is just
past that. Mile post 109 is behind the trees seen on the left on the pictures of eastbound trains.
