NS Altoona, PA/West Slope Action - A Recent Visit

Hi everyone.

I spent the last weekend in March in the Altoona area. I seen around 60 trains and NS 1070, 8098, and 1800.  Here are the highlights...

That looks like one of the few running SD70AceT4 units off the UP. If it is, good catch. Any other shots of that particular train? Keep em coming. Ben

That is UP 3089, it led NS 14A solo a few weeks ago through Sandusky, Ohio.  I wonder if NS is testing it for when their Tier IV units come online in June.

Very NICE series with lots of power variety on a busy mainline. Also like the old signal bridge.
