I had some time in Hammond, IN last night and caught some more interesting (to me) local moves aside from the road freights. The video shows an IHB SW1500 coming off of the Calumet City Industrial track which throttled up as it headed past, heading off the branch, across Main 1, and onto Main 2 at Hohman. The video doesn't show the whole train, because of the slow speed, but it had 65 cars behind it! All except for the first gondola were tank cars with #3295 placards. Does anyone know where they are coming from?

The first photo shows an odd-looking joint that the IHB train was passing over. From a distance I thought the rail on the right was lighter rail, but it seems it is just worn down a lot.

After the IHB move, the NS bottle train headed west with loads; more than I've seen before. The photo shows it headed off into the sunset.

The sunset really looked great after the bottle train was gone and while nothing else was around. The track to the city is the Calumet City Branch.

Next up, a short freight on the NS Chicago distract was led by a solo CN SD60, the third train in a row with a solo EMD leading. As soon as that NS freight cleared CSX sent Q004 across the NS diamonds at State Line, which I didn't get to in time. Soon after, a westbound tank train with BNSF power came through on CSX. Then NS 235 headed south on the Chicago District, but that the end of what I had photos or video worth posting.

No. 3295 is a generic indication for "hydrocarbon liquids."  Since there was just one SW and 65 cars, I'm assuming they were empties, probably headed for BP/Amoco Whiting.

Thanks, it seemed that the train headed for the "Shell lead" near Gibson Yard.

Good point. Looking at it they seem like they are loads. I'm surprised that SW1500 can pull that much.

That joint in the first pic appears to be an insulated set that should also be a comp joint and instead they just ground down the rail head.
