Eastern Railroad Discussion > The annual spring Altoona tripDate: 04/16/19 14:50 The annual spring Altoona trip Author: VFPNSFAN For the last several years I have been fortunate to get a weekend just to myself in the spring to enjoy this special interest of railfanning. This year because of some new friends on a Facebook group I started, I decided to make several stops on the way to Altoona. I stopped in Lewistown, Huntingdon, and Tyrone, on the way to Altoona. I did not record IDs, hope you can enjoy regardless. These three taken on 04/06/19.

Athough last year, slightly dissapointing because of several inches of snow on the ground, couldn't get to the places I like to go, but that's a champagne problem right? First night I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Altoona, second at The Tunnel Inn in Galitzin. |
