Mike Date: 04/17/19 03:19 Re: NS 63V on the ground at Wyomissing Junction Author: dschlegel At least it was cool last night, had that been a month from now the humidity would’ve amplified the aroma!
On a serious note I wonder what happened. Back around 2010 I did see a then 65J if I recall go into emergency with the head end in the Galitzin tunnel. Turned out one of the center beams had broken on the spine cars. The smell after a few hours coming out of the tunnel was a perfect blend of exhaust and NYC funk. If so, is it going to take NS Sunbury and Buffalo lines from Dupont PA back down to the Harrisburg area - I think it's supposed to work Rutherford IM facility? tom Date: 04/17/19 05:06 Re: NS 63V on the ground at Wyomissing Junction Author: reel_smooth Anyone happen to know if they would try to detour 21E on the Amtrak line again from Frazer up through Lancaster to Harrisburg? I know they did that before for track work around Norristown, but, that was on the weekend.

Andrew Pine , Date: 04/17/19 07:03 Re: NS 63V on the ground at Wyomissing Junction Author: Model_L Appears that NS 21M is running west via NJT/Metro North/NYS&W from North Jersey to Binghamton. As of 10:00 am 4/17 the train was approaching CP Harriman.
Date: 04/17/19 07:07 Re: NS 63V on the ground at Wyomissing Junction Author: reel_smooth Thank you Andrew. If anyone knows how far it has progressed, that would be much appreciated. On another note, would it be reasonable to assume that the eastbound counterpart (24K?) would also take the same detour?

Amtrak hadn't taken them yet as of a half hour. I haven't seen any info on 26E (24K was abolished in July making 26E the new counterpart to 21E). Not sure if its tied down somewhere...or if it already made it into Morrisville via Amtrak. Posted from iPhone Date: 04/17/19 07:22 Re: NS 63V on the ground at Wyomissing Junction Author: reel_smooth Just had another fan stop where I’m at; believe 26E may have departed Lancaster about 10-15 minutes ago.

Paul B Date: 04/17/19 07:47 Re: detour train Author: reel_smooth That should be Paul; thank you. It would also seem that what I was told about 26E was inaccurate. But 21E should be past me soon.
