Eastern Railroad Discussion > Fort Edward, NY - Just hanging out watching trains

Checked in on Fort Edward on the old D&H today. Many changes since last here in 1976. Many of the tracks are gone and the action too and its CP Rail these days. No more PA's and other assorted Alcos. Last visit there were two Manufacturers Junction Alco switchers switching the south leg of the wye which is barely visible now.

Waiting around and reading Jim Shaughnessy's Delaware & Hudson book to kill time and having a bite to eat in the snack shop inside the old depot.

3. Amtrak 101 brings in Train 69 the northbound Adirondack.

Then Amtrak 292 the Ethan Allen comes in for a stop with Amtrak 701 leading the way.

A short while later CP 8109 leads Train 252 south towards Saratoga Springs.

A fine way to kill some time on a nice sunny May day.
