Eastern Railroad Discussion > NKP and DL&W diesels power Steamtown excursions this weekendDate: 06/09/19 07:30 NKP and DL&W diesels power Steamtown excursions this weekend Author: LV95032 Lined up side by side yesterday morning. 514's first excursion train to Moscow since being rebuilt the past couple years. ARHS owned F3 664 on the shuttle train. Steamtown is a heritage site for steam era railroading - not exclusively steam locomotives.

Yes, just outside of Lambertville. Somewhere there has to be a salesman hall of fame and the guy who convinced the LIRR that it needed a rotary snow plow has to have been inducted into it! I seem to think it was painted orange at the time.

Ironic that a LIRR snowplow survives in Steamtown, but the prior owners of Steamtown were happy to scrap or sell evryone one of the 18 LIRR P54 coaches they hauled down from Vermont, which were a part of Steamtown history, especially during the 1976 daily trips to Burlington, VT and back.
