Eastern Railroad Discussion > NS 36/37T to be discontinued?Date: 07/03/19 18:07 NS 36/37T to be discontinued? Author: SteveThorpe Heard from an Engineer on a connecting RR that these two trains aren't long for this world.

They enter the gorge at old Penn Haven and run to Lehighton then back to Hazelton. So, they are only in a portion of the gorge. In the summer, their return can sometimes be close to daybreak. Here they are returning to Hazelton a couple of weeks ago on 6/21 seen entering the gorge at Glen Onoko. I had some rain to contend with!

I don’t know if the 66 goes all the way to Hazleton or if it swaps trains at Lehighton with a local out of Hazleton. This could have changed after the RBMN took over the industrial park trackage there (Cando)

The H66 goes as far west as Lehighton.
