Earlier this month heavy rains with flash flooding damaged some of CSX former Western Maryland Railway trackage on the Thomas Subdivision near Bayard, WV. On Monday, July 1st. CSX dispatched a 28 loaded side dump cars with ballast and larger stone as train W094-30. The train came out of Cumberland, MD stopping at Keyser, WV  for a new crew to board as they would be dumping all evening.

1) Departing Keyser, WV yard with a new crew to take the train onto the Thomas Sub. to dump that evening.

2) W094-30 westbound on the Thomas Sub at Beryl, WV. In the background is the power center & stack from the now closed Verso paper mill.

3) Being late evening and loose sun fast, there wasn't much hope to chase the train up the mountain... the last of 28 cars going over the Rt. 46 crossing at Beryl, WV

More like attemping to dump all evening. With all the power on the head end good luck getting enough air to the rear portion. Longes air dump train I have seen. Surprised not DP? Nice catches.

RT 50 has been closed for several weeks due to wash out between Red House and Gormania.
This wouldn't be intended for repair would it?
