Railcar shop closing in Hollidaysburg, PA.

WTAJ-TV  www.wearecentralpa.com in Altoona,PA. is reporting the closure of the Watco Railcar repair shops on the east side of nearby Hollidaysburg,PA.
The estimated 65-70 union employees were given 60 days notice of the closing.
This is the large facility on the north side of US22, and the grade crossing on 22 is where access to the plant is
Previous owners included Millenium Repair, and originally Berwind-White.

Whatever happened to the former PRR Samuel Ray car shops in Hollidaysburg?

Curry Rail services is operating in one end of the building manufacturing cabs for Norfolk Southern and performing some wreck repairs. At least part of the building is being used as was intended and not torn down.

The former Sam Rea building has been remodeled and has been renamed, as shown in this 11/2015 pic. A venerable SW-1 was being used to switch the complex at the time.
