Eastern Railroad Discussion > WMSR in Ridgeley WV - 20 July 2019Date: 07/21/19 17:41 WMSR in Ridgeley WV - 20 July 2019 Author: DTWilson With some time to kill, I headed over to Ridgeley to grab a few shots of the Western Maryland Scenic RR train departing their shop area...
1) The days excursion train departing the shop area. To the left is a re-purposed former Allegany County, MD Transit Bus Stop now lettered for Ridgeley, WV....... 2) Standing beside the mirror at the RR crossing, I figured I would try to be a little "artsy".......... 3) The Generator Car.... Powered by a large Caterpillar diesel genset on the end of the excursion.Construction of this car was fended by a local finical intuition and will eventually be lettered with their logo.... Dirt and oil covered and no sense of identity makes for a pretty poor image and is sad to see. One wonders why they don’t use the circus themed GP30 they painted up or work out a deal to lease one of George’s Creeks WM painted SD’s...any word on the status of the C&O mallet?
