Trespassing on the rails
Author: KB5WK

Came across this person's rail photos on Flickr this evening. They like to live dangerously.  Not sure the area but sure its on the eastern area of the US.

That's an understatement. After having looked at their albumn one could say that many of their images are down right terrifying!

I would go further than that and make it a Generation Negative-Ten (-10)!

It should not be hard to figure out the where based on the number of parked engines in some of the photos.
If sitting in the guage and climbing on powered down equipment doesn't annoy you, there are shots that were apparently taken on a moving train.
Apparently taken in 2014 - although the most recent pictures are dated August 22nd, 2019.

The kids remind me of the couple recently arrested for trespassing and weed in Ohio, although much cleaner in appearance.

Hopefully no one will find their bodies in pieces along the tracks. The "care free life" has consequences - often for those who have to pick up the pieces.

I’m thinking the rooftop shots with the green engine are on GO Transit?  How on earth do you access that spot?

When it's operatring in push mode, is there anyone in the cab? That's my guess - the 'over-the-nose' shots are probably DPUs.

Agreed, there is no one (other than a hobo) in the cab of a DP unit.  But as the pushing unit on a GO Transit commuter train?  Damn, that's pretty bold and flagrant.

Looking at the photostream, yes there are some ludicrously dengerous photos in there, and many blatant trespassing photos. But there are also many that would be praised were they to be published on Trainorders, if we didn't know who thephotographer was.

For example, I really like this one. Interesting composition:

I recently watched a video on YouTube where this individual rode a well car from Georgia to New Jersey and videotaped it...??!! I DO NOT know how this person didn't get caught.

You can't make this stuff up......

Amen!  I found quite a few really nice and interesting compositions (even among the insanely dangerous ones).
This person has a pretty good eye for composition.

Those are GO Transit F59's...only a  handful left, mostly operating on the Stouffville and Barrie (Aurora) lines. I was on one (inside a coach) this morning.

Better this than for them to be taggers.

Freight riders have been around long before Millenials. I know a few people that do that and they are all age 40 +
