The Bruce Mansfield coal fired power plant will close a year ahead of schedule, as First Energy continues to shutter plants.  Although this plant was a barge user for most of its fuel, it received regular supplies of scrubber materials via rail.  First Energy, its parent, is in financial distress and recently received a bailout for some of its nuclear operations

This plant, the largest coal fired plant in Pennsylvania, was the subject of lobbying by Robert Murray, head of coal operator Murray Energy.  One ancillary victim of the plant closing may be the drywall industry in the area. The plant's ash waste has been a source of local jobs.

Local jobs issue sounds like Page Arizona with that plant closing along with most likely the wall plant.

No, on CSX , but mostly truck and barge on the Ohio River for coal.

The adjacent drywall plant is also served by rail, and IIRC, the coal plant used to get PRB coal from a nearby barge transload at Monaca.
