Eastern Railroad Discussion > Gilman green grain pupDate: 08/13/19 19:46 Gilman green grain pup Author: EL833 I had spent the night in Gilman, Illinois last week on the way out to the IRM event. I had checked out the elevator just south of downtown and noticed this rebuilt Alco. I figured the sun would be just right on it in the morning and it was. Seems it's been there a few years (ns2557 had a post on it 3 years ago) but there was a rather dull basic black Alco switcher the last time I passed through Gilman so this was a nice surprise. Here is CLCX 9698 on 08-07-19, an S2M that started life as a HB&T S2 a "few" years ago, sunning itself .
