Paducah and Loiusville Rwy info question...

I'm over on West Board but reading an article on Trains Mag. from June 2014 about this rwy...Has coal downturn really hurt it?  THX for replies...Steve

I'm not really sure if it has or not but they have plenty of business it seems.  They have a yard in Louisville that always has cars in it since they interchange with NS, CSX, and LIRC.  They also run an 891/892 for NS that is a empty/loaded coal out of Louisville.  They also bring coal to the LG&E plant out in the southwest Louisville called the Mill Creek Generating Station.
