A detour from trains comes up with a view across Lake Erie in the fog and rain as the tugboat Paul L. Luedtke works two barges and a dredge from Fairport, OH to Huron.

NS 4117 & 7687 westbound at Sunnyside Road on the east side of Vermilion.

Grabbing a river view / train view table at McGarvey's Landing / Quaker Steak & Lube an ore? train goes past on the NYC bridge headed east. Anyone know exactly what this train is all about ?

Final shot of the trip is NS Train 22K which we first heard on the scanner as we came through Cleveland, finally caught at Westfield, NY with the 1145 leading about to hit the dragger at MP 59.

A wonderful sequence if images and reporting. Thanks for taking the time.  The Nickel Plate images were great, as I hardly ever catch any action on it when I've been out that way. Thanks!
