Something Not Seen Often - Fast Long Hood Forward Local - 3 Units
Author: cornerfieldhobby

Now here is something you don't see everyday and this is the 2nd time I've seen this happen before on CSX with running long hood forward. But running lead engine like this on a CSX local with 3 units at high speed is not all that common. Also I thought it was a GEVO coming do to the K5HL train horn. This is video I took this evening in Madison Ohio of fast CSX westbound local freight train C729 lead by 3 units. Lead engine is running long hood forward GP40-3 #6503 with a Nathan 5 chime K5HL train horn, Road Slug #2358 & GP40-2 #69??.

PTC helps you see what otherwise is difficult....so long hood running is less a chore....still uncomfortable for a motor that's not set up for long hood running, but more doable.
