Eastern Railroad Discussion > Cream sickle leading NS 227 west (north) today.

*NS 8105 sits on the siding at Allison, VA on the B-line, waiting for 12R to solve his problems.  12R started out with air problems, then had power problems. After about 6 hours or more, 92Q power came from Manassas to push the 9500 foot train west.  By this time, 227's crew had gone on the law, so 227 sat in the sidng until dark.  12R's crew was told to tie their train down when they got to Berryville, VA, and they would get a ride back to 227, so they could take it to Hagerstown.

No, the end of the train is deep in the woods.  :-(

It was likely dropped off in Crewe with the rest of the freight 227/228 to and from Norfolk.
