On my way to work in Stroudsburg, PA today, I saw that the Ardent Mills locomotive was shifting cars at the old Portland Cement Plant in Martin's Creek.  The trackage once belonged to the Lehigh and New England Railroad.

With the carbon smudge on the side it almost looks like the name is Arden.  I remember the cement operation from seventy years ago and the LNE switchers to go with it.  Thanks for the memory.

Nice looking unit; however white is NOT a good choice for a unit that spends most of the time idling.

Very neat photo! It's interesting that a cement plant could be converted into a flour mill - hopefully the silos were given a major scrubbing at the time of conversion!

Heritage of the SD40/nodynamics?  Ex Soo, CN, C&NW, who  else had non dynamic SD40’s?

ConAgra 608 has achieved SD38 status via re-building but was born a dynamic brakeless SD40 in 1971 for MoPac:
