According to the following Trains.com Newswire article, tentative plans are for Reading & Northern's new F units to be painted in a Tuscan red scheme:

Shucks,  was hoping for a Reading inspired scheme much like the FP7s.

       I will also be glad that they are operating and cared for, irregardless of paint scheme. They 'own' them.
 

When pondering the reason behind the choice of the ex-NS F-units' next coat of paint, what some commentators might not have fully considered is the heritage of the Reading Blue Mountain and Northern Railroad. For approximately its first eight years of existence, it was only the tiny Blue Mountain and Reading Railroad and its extent was just 13 miles of a single segment of track, connecting Temple with South Hamburg.

That track was previously the mainline of the Schuylkill Division of the Pennsylvania Railroad. It was PRR's ill-conceived project to parallel the Philadelphia & Reading RR's main line the entire way from Philadelphia to Pottsville. From 1983 through 1990, that short stub of an ex-Pennsy line was the economic foundation of the BM&R and the basis of its success in becoming today's vastly larger and well-established RBM&N.

In light of the above, I think it's relevant and entirely appropriate that this regional railroad's origin might soon be acknowledged in Tuscan Red paint on the ex-NS F-units. Remember the two Tuscan Red E-units which BM&R famously ran in passenger service on its line in the 1980s? To me, a present-day mobile display of Pennsy-inspired glory on that same tiny road's enlarged successor would be most welcome due to the history of the RBM&N itself.

I can respect that they can do anything they want and the color selection. I just hope it isn't anything awkward looking.

The blue faded to purple like the CF-7's sounds good.🙄

Yes.  And the Reading Blue Mountain & Northern  Railroad is hiring for several positions, including Assistant General Manager - Passenger Operations.  The Company also  accepts resumes for train service, MOW, signal department, and other areas.
