Eastern Railroad Discussion > Where Alcos usually treadDate: 11/30/19 15:47 Where Alcos usually tread Author: EL833 It's busy season on the all Alco/MLW Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad in NE Ohio with both the regular daytime runs and the Polar Express runs in the evenings, so it's all hands (locomotives) on deck. With C424 4241 being worked on a temporary replacement was needed. That came in the form of Horizon Rail 2348, a GP35m, shown here leading today's 2nd scenic run past the recently moved Boston Mills, Ohio station. While there have been EMD locomotives on the CVSR before- including an FL9- they are not the norm, so it's worth a few pixels despite it's spartan all black scheme.
