Here's a link to another post about that unit from last year. My guess is a 44 Ton (maybe 45) Rail Pictures.net refers to it as a 44 Ton Must be a popular unit, cause I even found a place selling T-shirts with it on the shirt, wow ? https://fineartamerica.com/featured/mansfield-switcher-rob-richardson.html?product=adult-tshirt Date: 12/04/19 23:27 Re: Unknown GE locomotive Mansfield, Ohio Author: wpamtk Can't be a 44-tonner because of the end walkways. Looks to me like a WWII-era 65-ton (or maybe 80-ton if it has the thicker deck plate). Notice the stacks mid-hood, suggesting it's been repowered. I believe this was done to a variety of military units.
I know it's very common to call all GE centercabs "44-tonners," but it's really much more complicated than that. Date: 12/05/19 07:54 Re: Unknown GE locomotive Mansfield, Ohio Author: engineerinvirginia wpamtk Wrote:
