Eastern Railroad Discussion > Elizabeth Marine

The past two days the 20 footers I've dropped at the NS in St Louis have been classified as Elizabeth Marine. Is this a new facility or a renaming of an old ramp? The ramp personal are as confused as I am on this one.

Is the Elizabeth Marine Terminal the same as NS's E-Rail / Express Rail in Elizabeth NJ?  Or is it something entirely different?

They're different terminals.  NS' North Jersey intermodal terminals and the trains that originate / terminate at each include:

Croxton - 211, 212, 20E, 20K, 20W, 21M, 23Z, 24Z, 25R, 25W
Elizabeth Marine Terminal - 22V, 23M, 24Q
Erail - 294, 20R, 25V, 25Z
*GCT Bayonne
*New York Container Terminal

*Note: Trains 242 and 243 with traffic to / from Bayonne and NYCT are profiled out of Port Newark.

The address shows up as Marine Terminal Elizabeth.NJ, 1004-1014 N Fleet St

which puts it at the south end of the Port Newark - Port Elizabeth complex. 

So I guess the traffic rides 20T or 20A St Louis to Harrisburg and connects to New Jersey train ? Spotter driver I talked to said it changes the way they load trains and was a total suprise on them,although 3 hours at Luther is not unusual as 20's and 40's are all lifts only 53's are drops
